The 40th Canada Express Entry draw was announced on August 10th, 2016. In this draw 754 ITAs were issued, and the minimum required CRS score was set to 490 points. This will be the 17th Express Entry draw of this year. This draw shows a slight increase in the cut off CRS scores required when compare to the earlier draws after May 18th. The number of the ITAs issued in the 39th draw was 755 and this time it’s 754.
The CRS score is the benchmark score out of 1200 points that is used to benchmark the federal economic candidates. This is the part of the Express entry system that was introduced in January 2015 in order to process permanent residency applications. In the 40th draw of Express Entry the cut off CRS score is 490 and 755 invitations were issued. The cut off score is intended to project the candidate’s prospects of being economically successful in Canada.
