An innovative digital application service was introduced by the Home Office in 2014 called Access UK, particularly for the residents of China so that they can apply online for the UK tourist’s visa. Seeing the success of the launch of this service, Access UK has now been made accessible for the residents of 180 countries and 10 languages who are applying to visit UK. After the introduction of this service, more than half a million applications have been received for visitor visa.
This facility will help the immigrants applying for visitor visa, to access the online application form for making quick visa application. The online application form has easy checklists for listing the documents needed to make the application and it is flexible to be used from any mobile device.
The Director of International Visa Operations of UK Visas and Immigration, Simon Peachy stated that, “I’m delighted to report that this global roll-out has been achieved on time and without compromising on the quality of the service”.
In the coming weeks the Access UK facility will be further moved-out to 13 lower capacity sites. But certain locations such as Falkland Island have their own unique application procedures so they are unable to use Access UK facility, yet.
The Home Office has made commitment to make the website Visa4UK more easy and convenient for the visitorsto apply for UK visa that is why they will replace it with Access UK.
