Nova Scotia has hit the highest population ever, with Ottawa’s increase in new immigrants and Syrian refugees
As per the statistics from Canada, Nova Scotia province’s population has increased by 4,900 since 2015 making its total population to 947,000.
The quarterly Demographic Estimates report says about 1,460 people arrived in the province from 1st of Jan to 1st of April.
Aging population and outmigration made Nova Scotia struggle in increasing its population.
The report also says that the increase in the population in Nova Scotia was mainly because of the international migration which is also a reason for the growth of population nationally as well.
Between 1st of Jan and 1st of April, population of Canada has increased by 106,000 people.
